About JEHDI
Who We Are
JEHDI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions for low-income households in Missouri. As a subsidiary of Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity, we leverage expertise in non-profit construction to improve housing accessibility and foster community development.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create vibrant, thriving neighborhoods where every individual has access to quality housing that meets their needs. Through collaborative efforts with community members and partners, we aim to eliminate barriers to affordable housing, promote economic stability, and enhance the overall well-being of residents in Missouri.
Our Accomplishments
Since our inception in September 2018, JEHDI has achieved significant milestones in our mission to provide affordable housing solutions in Missouri:
- Constructed 8 new homes, providing safe and sustainable housing options for families in need.
- Successfully rehabbed 1 home, revitalizing existing housing stock and improving living conditions.
- Currently underway with the construction of 3 additional homes, expanding our impact and addressing the ongoing demand for affordable housing in our community.
Through diligent efforts and collaborative partnerships, we continue to make strides in our commitment to building brighter futures for individuals and families in Jasper County and beyond.
